Beautiful and Historic City of Namur

At the confluence of rivers Sambre and Meuse lies the ancient & picturesque city of Namur, also a municipality in Wallonia in Belgium. The destination is a part of europe travel tours and is an attractive feature for travelers to the European continent. The ease of access to the city has now opened it to the world & showcases the centuries of art and culture. Namur has always held an important strategic location and being situated at the center of the European continent it bears some of the deepest scars of the invasion and its aftermath, from Roman times through the Second World War. Some of the most sought after tourist locations in our european tour packages to Namur are; St. Alban's Cathedral (Built between 1751 and 1767 it shows it Italian influence and is a World Heritage Site), The Meat Hall (Located on the banks of river Sambre, it’s one of the most important archeological museums of Wallonia), The convent of the Sisters of Notre Dame, and last but not the least is the Citadel of Namur. Tourist locations near Namur include Maredsous Abbey, Floreffe Abbey, Annevoie Castle etc.
